Landscaping to Enhance The Environment
Avalon is a natural wonder of rare plants and animal species that are home, here in the oldest mountains on earth. The approach to Avalon’s landscaping is to keep the common areas, like the main entrance, Avalon Park and Brigade Park, well maintained and to use plants that will enhance the environment and blend with what has always been here.
These areas are on a scheduled maintenance program with trimming, mulching and cutting, as well as changing out seasonal plants. The roadsides are mowed and maintained year-round. The rest of the community is natural and unchanged.
Avalon allows homeowners to maintain their landscaping and yards as they see fit. The natural plants and trees make an amazing backdrop for any home. The forest around Avalon is old growth oaks and pines, as well as rare plants.
Within the Avalon Mountain Community there is a 6.2 acre park that is open to all who live here. Residents and their guests can enjoy the park all year long. All of the following are here for your delight:
