Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is like visiting Las Vegas without having to travel too far. It was North Carolina’s first casino and has grown into the fabulous hotel resort it is today. Spend a weekend there and experience the fun and luxury for yourself.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, but it is operated by Caesars Entertainment. The resort is located at 777 Casino Drive, in Cherokee, NC, and is open 24 hours each day. The resort includes a four star hotel, a huge casino, spa, restaurants, shops, and a massive entertainment center, complete with lounges, a bowling alley, sports bar, and more! There is something for everyone to enjoy, and it is even family friendly. (Please note though, only 21 years and older are allowed in the casino.)

 

Staying at Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel 

The four star luxury hotel has 21 stories and 1,108 rooms. Rooms range is size and there are a variety of different bed sizes and floor plans to choose from. All rooms have great amenities, such as a large bath, fine furnishings, and a 42 inch plasma TV. All hotel guests also have access to the hotel’s fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, shops, casino, spa, and entertainment areas and center. (Please note, that the casino, spa, entertainment areas, center, and restaurants have separate fees that are not covered by the cost of a hotel room.)

The casino is massive! Any casino game you can think of can be found here. There are three different game categories:

  • Live game tables – You will find over 100 traditional game tables, like Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, poker, and so many more. There is also a 20 table live poker tournament room.
  • Digital game tables – These tables feature mini Baccarito. Six players play this digital game, but there are real dealers, chips, and an eight-deck shoe.
  • Video gaming – This is where you will find Las Vegas style slot machines with over 3,280 games, such as video poker, 88 Fortunes, Monopoly, Wheel of Fortune, and more.

           

Dine at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort

The resort has a vast array of on-site dining choices. From quick snacks to casual dining to fine dining, you will defiantly not go hungry at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. There are national chain food spots within the resort, like Dunkin Donuts, Johnny Rockets, and Pizzeria Uno Express for quick meals or take out. For fine dining, visit Ruth’s Chris Steak House. There are several casual dining options as well, such as Brio Tuscan Grille, Noodle Bar, Lobby Café, and more.

The crown jewel of the resort’s dining, though is Chefs Stage Buffet. This award winning buffet is on the 2nd floor and it overlooks the casino floor. All ages are welcome, and kids under age 5 eat for free. Interactive stations host chef specialties and flavors from all over the globe! Food stations along the buffet include down home Southern favorites, Asian, Italian, BBQ, soup and salad bar, and dessert bar, just to name a few!

 

Family Friendly Entertainment at Harrah’s

Just when you think this resort can’t possible offer its guests more, it also has an entertainment center. That’s right; it has an entertainment center that is amazing! Ultra-Star Multi-tainment Center is an on-site, family friendly fun zone. Some highlights of the entertainment center are listed below:

  • Ultrastar Lanes – an upscale bowling alley that caters to all bowling levels, from beginner to pro
  • Soundbites – a deluxe lounge and restaurant that has karaoke
  • Ultrastar Game Center – huge, family friendly arcade with all the latest video games
  • Strikes Lounge – on the 2nd floor, adults only lounge on weekends, after 5pm that has food and craft cocktails, additional bowling lanes, billiards tables, and a patio

 

Catch a Concert at Harrah’s Cherokee

The resort has an Event Center for live concerts and shows. The 3,000 seat venue hosts big name musicians and performers throughout the year. Past entertainers include multi-platinum country musicians Lady Antebellum and Reba McEntyre. Scheduled 2019 concerts will feature Foreigner, Dwight Yoakam, Air Supply, Travis Tritt, and more. Get in a Round of Golf

 Harrah’s Cherokee Golf at Sequoyah National Golf Club is also a perk of being a resort guest. This 6,600 yard, 72 par golf course is both challenging and beautiful. Play a round of golf among the scenic beauty of the Western North Carolina Mountains. The golf club has a pro shop, as well as a putting green, driving range, and chipping area.
